Estimates to help you check
Calcowa's calculators are built to help you check your own hours and pay. They're accurate for the rules they state, and each result shows its math, but they're estimates. They don't know your employer's policies, your contract or which state laws apply to you.
Not professional advice
Nothing on this site is legal, tax, accounting or financial advice. If you think you're owed money, or you aren't sure whether overtime rules apply to you, talk to your employer's payroll team, your state's labor department or a qualified professional. We can't advise on individual cases.
Your records come first
If a result doesn't match your pay stub, it's worth looking into, but your employer's official time records are what'll count in any dispute. Keep your own notes of the hours you work; they're useful whatever you're checking. And if you think we've got the math wrong, tell us at contact@calcowa.com and we'll take a look.
Laws change
Overtime rules and thresholds can change, and we don't always know the day they do. We'll update the calculators when we find out, but if you're relying on a result for something that matters, it's wise to check the current rule with the official source we've linked.
